The professional bicycle race on 29th of October was a thrilling event that brought together some of top riders of the Pro Teams of the Tour de France. This challenging race featured prominent riders, including Chris Froome (4x Tour de France Winner), Peter Sagan (3x World Champion), Tadej Pogacar (2x Tour de France Winner), Mark Cavendish (Winner of 34 individual Stages at the Tour de France) and Sepp Kuss (Winner of the Vuelta a España 2023), who battled through a demanding course through the heart of Singapore.
Unfortunately, the winner of the 2022 edition of the race, Jonas Vingegaard, was not at the starting line to defend his title. The winner of the 2022 and 2023 Tour de France was excitedly awaited by the cycling fans.
Breakaways, intense attacks, and the frequent changes in the lead at high speed kept the fans fascinated as the peloton maneuvered through the 3,2km long round course for about 90 minutes.
The Pros, the newcomers and the local teams performed on an incredible level which was rewarded by loud cheering every round they passed the start and finish line.
The final sprint to the finish line was a heart-pounding highlight which brought the victory to the 25-year-old Belgium rider Jasper Philipsen (winner of the Green Jersey at the 2023 Tour de France). The second and third place were taken by Mark Cavendish and Tadej Pogacar, who was also awarded for the most aggressive rider in the field.
This race event was absolutely highlighting the incredible talent of these pro riders. Fans gathered along the route, creating an electrifying atmosphere that celebrated the cycling community. This race reminded us of the dedication and athleticism of professional cyclists, leaving us eagerly awaiting the next thrilling event.
